“These charts show who you’ll spend your time with across your lifetime.”

(Roughly) Daily

A wild beast, a god… or just aging:

Time with friends, colleagues, siblings, and children diminishes over the course of a lifetime. The older we get, the person we spend the most time with is the one we see in the mirror.

That’s the conclusion of a recent, fascinating analysis of data from the American Time Use Survey, an annual census by the US Bureau of Labor Statistics of how Americans spend their hours…

As we wince at Sartre’s observation that “if you’re lonely when you’re alone, you’re in bad company,” we might send courteous birthday greetings to Giovanni della Casa; he was born on this date in 1503.  A Florentine poet, diplomat, and inquisitor, he is best remembered as a writer on etiquette and society, especially for his famous 1558 treatise…

The Zeigarnik Effect and the unfinished work…

Speedometer - Yes I Can

You have not even started a thing and you’re thinking about the result!:)

In scientific terms, we are talking about the Zeigarnik Effect, the function of our brain that schedules us to finish something started.

The Zeigarnik effect is based on an experiment by a Russian psychologist, Bluma Zeigarnik in 1927, after seeing a strange thing in a coffee shop in Vienna: the waiters only remembered the commands that had to be served and they had not been paid. After a customer left the café, the waiters actually forgot what had been served

In 1982 Kenneth Mc Graw made another test based on the Zeigarnick Effect. His result was that almost 90% of the participants remembered things they had not finished.Well, the Zeigarnik Effect explains a simple phenomenon that happens in our minds. We remain connected to things that have begun and are not over.

Very good! … until it’s not that good 🙂

Because this Zeigarnik Effect can be used by third part manipulators to keep our minds busy with things/situations left unfinished. For example in television Zeigarnik effect is used very often. Remember the situations or the series in which the beautiful :)…(Hose Armando, Juan, Fernando, etc.) :)) died but in the last sequence appears a miraculous clue that makes you believe they’re alive. And you remain with your mind there until the next episode, or:…:)) Rambo 1, Rambo 2, Rambo 3… Rambo7 ….. Rambo is back … and the list can continue indefinitely…

Most of us continually postpone things because it seems to us that what we have to do is too hard, or we’re afraid of failure, or we just do not know where to start.
But the Zeigarnik  Effect tells us that our mind is made to want to finish things up.
So the solution to do what you have on the list is to … Start.
Start anywhere, just… Start.

Appetite comes with eating, mood comes with working!

I know from the experience that it’s hard to change a habit, it’s hard to change yourself, not because you can not, or because you have no resources, or because you miss something … No!

The main reason why people change hard (although they live every day frustrated by the unfinished things, the things not done, started… in the head) is that it is much more comfortable to lie to yourself than to admit that you are in a Big shit!

Eventually it is said that the truth will set you free :)) but first, you will get angry as hell!

But do not forget “Life’s a journey, not a destination!”

Why are you angry with me?

We, humans, are a very bourgeois species, we are quickly upset with each other, and we are going through very hard, or … it is possible to remain upset for eternity. (That’s not what happens to dogs, for example … :)), they only live this moment.)

When people get upset, they turn their backs, they run away from you, they do not talk to you anymore for hours, weeks, years … or, as the case may be, in this life, or in any other possible life from another parallel universe!

There is another category of people who, when they get upset, they get angry and attack you (in a more subtle or more direct way), depending on the case, age, gender, and situation. But why do people react like that? If it is to ask biology or more precisely neurobiology, everything is very simple.
Neurologically everything depends on the limbic system, the one located somewhere at the lower levels of the human mind, plus the aggressive or regressive behavioral component.
And yet, one word triggers such a behavioral state.
It is true, we are all born with tendencies, but how can it be explained that a single word perceived in that place in our head can trigger so many attitudes, so many reactions in our body, so many facts.
How can a word, (as Dr. Christian Andrei say), alter your blood pressure, alter your corticosteroid level, bloat you with adrenaline?
After many years of research, only in 2016, it became clear, the word that can change so much, the word that makes you upset is the word NO.
The word No, is used since you were a child by those who dominate you, by those who make the rules, the other people.
Since you were a child the people around you have told you things like: It is not allowed !.. Not now,… Not you!
Although inside of you, everything is positively dressed, all questions have the answer Yes, especially when you are right!(You have the right to be loved, but you are not the loved one, it is someone else, you have the right to buy something you want, but someone else gets it … life is full of the word No)
And all these NOT assembled, produce frustrations that come into our limbic system, and we get upset.
So back to “Why are you angry with me?” :))) Because we are educated so..(more precisely, conditioned!),

My friend!

The Schrödinger’s cat ..

Why I talk about cats and especially about Schrödinger’s cat ( particularly, as his cat demonstrates something about quantum theory) well, very simple 🙂 because, by analogy, Schrödinger’s cat demonstrates something in human behavior as well.

In 1935 Erwin Schrödinger conducted an experiment in which a cat remained in a box for an hour. Together with the cat, there is an ampoule containing a deadly poison.
In this hour, there is a chance that the vial will open and an equal chance that the vial will remain sealed. If the vial containing the poison would be broken, one could say with certainty that the cat is dead 🙂 as was the case in the bottle remains sealed and the cat has been still living.

Therefore: until an observer opens the box to see the condition of the cat, the cat can be considered as living and dead. However, when the box is opened, the cat no longer has a “choice”, it is either alive or dead, and this can be said without a doubt.

And what? What does this have to do with us, the people?

Well, the Schrödinger cat’s experiment demonstrates that: When “something” or “someone” is not Observed, it can simultaneously exist, in all possible configurations.

The mere observation of a system forces the system to crash and the “object” or “subject” to remains in a certain state. More specifically, even conceptually, people behave the same in similar circumstances.

In the privacy of the personal space, every person acts with total freedom, without prejudice, but when any person reaches or is brought to the spotlight of society,  (him or she), is forced into a version of himself/herself, who may or may not reflect Our true intentions.

This person, (like every person), like Schrodinger’s cat, is forced to play a role, though it would have had another option. That makes us confused, creates that state of ambiguity many times, we seem to know each other well and yet .., hmm, or maybe not! – I thought I knew him /her ?!

The idea is the simple act of observing, the simple fact that we are supervised, changes drastically our behavior, although lately, we live without a wish for it, a continuing state of “Big Brother,” not to wonder then, that Everything seems theatrical and fake…
