“It is easy to love perfection. The difficulty consists in loving the human with his good and bad.”–
“We should not pretend to understand the world only by the intellect; we apprehend it just as much by feeling. Therefore, the judgment of the intellect is, at best, only the half of truth, and must, if it is honest, also come to an understanding of its inadequacy.” – Carl G. Jung
What can we do to pour brilliance into the cliché of life, to feel its ascension, greatness, and significance?

We have to let the walls around us fall. Let us leave the comfort of banal certainties and look for those people and experiences, who will hear our silent scream, our need for essences, interdependence, and unity.
Do not be afraid to live!
Don’t live the abundance and excess of your senses with shyness. Choose only the beautiful forms of excess: love, creation, growing. Inhale an overdose of “Zorba-Buddha” as often as possible, that form of lucid and controlled madness, that will melt the lead that flows through your veins and transform it into a desire to celebrate the maximum humanity in you wholeheartedly.
Do not stop yourself from experiencing the peak states of existence, those states that annihilate anxieties of time, mortality, isolation, and loneliness.
Well, yes it would be very nice to find out more about you – along the way. It will be interesting I think.

This is true. Although we each have flaws, for some reason, it’s challenging to love others with their flaws.

yes, it is a challenge, but a challenge it also involves boundaries! At least in my humble opinion! 🙂

Beg to differ with Mr Jung, no life is wasted. The perception of waste is based on the personal view. Success may not be evident in the life that is supposedly being waste but success of another life because of that perception of waste means that in fact the wasted life was a success. My opinion only.🌺

Going back to Jung’s quote, it is interesting. (I am more of a Freud man myself) 🙂
Interesting that he should put Reason and Emotion on the same level.
Not many do it. It tends to be one or the other.
Hmmm.

I believe that G. Jung is right, both reason and affectivity are equally necessary, they are not mutually exclusive, they are complementary. The ultimate challenge is how to fall from Heaven and not to die of its longing. 🙂 I mean, to find a balance between idealism and cynicism. That is, to keep your enthusiasm and optimism, even if …That is, to love the madness of being, paradox and contradiction, accepting pain and disappointment, accepting life as it is … and yes, sometimes “the hormone beats the neuron!” 😉 🙂

Wow. You do let go about your thoughts. (As we all do when we speak and write) (Or what we don’t say or write. Same thing)
Agreed, on the broader scale you’ve just established, it is all a matter of balance. Reason and emotion. Hormones and neurons. Idealism and cynicism… Acceptance… is not something I am too good at, but… We don’t have much choice do we? (Currently reading Russell’s History of Western philosophy. I will keep your comments in mind.) 🙂
Bonne soirée.

Most truths, when we experience them I think, are more paradoxical than not–whether they are mental, spiritual or emotional. It seems to be the way we, and the world we live in, are made…
You know, the tighter you hold on to something, the more likely you are to lose it.

Good points. I realize everyday how much I fall short of doing the right thing even when I strive to do all things well and right. Human nature when kept unchecked can consume us with the here an now that focuses on our desires and pleasures. Ideally, we must pursue that which challenges us to a higher level and go beyond our comfort zones – while balancing life.

I actually hate perfection, I did learn some time ago that one, I myself I´m very imperfect. Two, it is human nature to be imperfect and three that you have to deal with those imperfections with yourself and the people you love.
Nice post

Perfection in psychological interpretation. Dr. C. G. Jung experienced it all in his humanity, by his imperfections.
